Limit Break
Squall's limit break is called Renzokuken. The Renzokuken is sequence of gunblade attacks that can cause a great deal of damage to anyone who is unfortunate enough to end up in a battle with him. When Squall is about to do his limit break, a bar will appear at the bottom of the screen. When the light moving across the bar enters the small box, press R1 to signifigantly raise the amount of damage dealt. If you don't manage to get it right on time, Squall will still attack, but it will be much weaker. After Squall completes his Renzokuken, an ending attack will sometimes occur. There are 4 possible ending attacks. Which one Squall uses is determined by which weapon is currently equiped: • Rough Divide: Squall charges into a single enemy and ends with a rising slash. • Fated Circle: An attack that hits all enemies, Squall leaps into the air and spins his gunblade around, releasing a shockwave of energy. • Blasting Zone: Squall releases a shaft of light from his gunblade, which he uses to crush his opponents. • Lion Heart: Although it only hits one enemy, the Lion Heart is Squall's strongest Limit Break in the game. After knocking an opponent into the air, Squall unleashes a devastating flurry of attacks. |
