Like any human being, Squall has inherited many of his physical traits from either his mother, his father, or in some cases, both. In this section you will find pictures of Squall's birth family (Laguna & Raine Loire), and semi-detailed analysis of why he looks so much like them.

• Hair: Though Squall's hair is quite similar to that of Laguna Loire's, I'd say that it looks slightly more like Raine's. Both he & his mother share a darkish brown hair colour whereas Laguna's is much darker; closer to a black colour. All three of them have very sleek, straight hair, and they all wear it relatively long. Squalls hair, aswell as Laguna's, appears to be very buoyant, and both of them style their bangs in a rather "uppwardly" fashion.
• Eyes: Squall most definately got his blue eye colour from his mother's side, however the shape of his eyes look more like Laguna's. All three of them have quite thick upper eyelids and very thin lower eyelids, however they are all slightly different shapes. Laguna's eyes are fairly pointed, while Raine's eyes are moderately rounded. Squall's eyes are also quite pointed, though they are slightly more rounded than his fathers.
• Eyebrows: Both Squall and his mother have very thin, distinct eyebrows, and though Laguna's are quite thin aswell, they are slightly more untidy. Aswell as this, they are darker than Squall's, and more rounded, however they do arch downwards in the same way Squall's do.
• Other Facial Features: It is quite clear that Squall gets his mouth shape from his father's side of the family, as he and Laguna both have moderately thin lips, while his mother's are slightly thicker. He also has the same shaped ear as his father.

• Smile: Squall's smile is a combination of both Laguna and Raine's smiles put together. When smiling, he and his mother both open their mouths, exposing some of their teeth, while lifting their heads slightly. He and his father squint their eyes a little, and neither of them raises his eyebrows.
