「 02. Deku Enemies 」
Although much of the Deku population is friendly, there are certainly a few bad seeds. Often attempting to block Link's way, these enemies are most commonly found in the swamp and forest areas of Link's travels. It is not known exactly why they have chosen to side against Link rather than with him, however it is most likely something to do with their own personal benefit. Regardless of this, they are no match for Link, and are probably some of the weakest enemies that he ever has to face.
「 Deku Scrub 」
(DESCRIPTION)
Appearing to be the angrier of the deku scrub, these enemies can be identified by their bright red eyes and autumn-coloured leaves. They are among the weakest enemies that Link has to face, and can be defeated simply by deflecting their own projectiles back at them (using Link's shield). Once beaten, Link can get information out of them quite easily. Random Fact: Attacking scrub are seen surrounding Link when Skull Kid first turns him into a Deku. They also make an appearance when Link waves goodbye, after the Happy Mask Salesman returns him to his Hylian (human) self.
「 Deku Baba 」
(DESCRIPTION)
Commonly residing in the Kokiri woods, and other forest-like areas, these plant-like Deku are an easy kill. Often dropping useful items, they prove to be more of an aid to Link than they are a threat, especially in dungeons containing unlit torches. The items that they drop vary according to the position they are in when killed.
